MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS
Robin Fisher
Robin R. Fisher is a Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer (CMKBD) and Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS). She is a speaker and educator with the National Kitchen and Bath Association, and her award-winning designs have been featured in multiple local, national trade and consumer magazines. In Robin’s 30 plus years in the industry, she has been a founding partner of both a Portland design/build remodeling firm and an independent residential design firm. Her true love is designing kitchens and baths.
A passion and dedication to the industry has lead Robin to dedicate much of her time to educating current and future designers.

Dan Baumann
Dan fell in love with Chief Architect v1 in June of 1993. He used it in his construction business before making the transition from contractor to Chief Architect champion in 1996.
He has trained 1,000's of users in live and online classes and has created 1,000's of hours of video tutorials and other content. His training is practical yet fast-paced and filled with real-life examples.
Dan uses the program daily, creates plans for clients, and coaches people in the "Best Practices" of creating plans. Client success in their business and using Chief Architect is always his top priority.

WEEK ONE: Bathroom Overview
- Introduction to the new NKBA Bathroom Guidelines and Accessibility standards
- Review of Living in Place Concepts and how to apply them to your designs
- Breakdown of tasks and storage needs for each area of the bathroom
- Water conservation

WEEK TWO: The Shower/ Tub
- Review and breakdown of shower sizes & functionality based on:
- Occupancy
- Accessibility – grab bars, blocking
- Storage both in and out of shower
- Seating
- Accessories ie: Steam Showers

WEEK TWO: Creating a Shower
- Custom shower pans (create a library for custom pans with drain & tile
- How to create a shower curb (threshold
- Steam shower details with sloped ceiling and shower door with transom
- No thresholds
- Drains – center and linear
- Material regions
- Shower walls – custom shower doors
- Niches – creating a custom niche with shelf
- Benches
- Creating the above into a dynamic library
- Framing/blocking (for grabbars)

WEEK THREE: Vanity & Toileting
- Vanity storage, design, heights, functionality
- Toilet rooms – selecting toilets for your client
- Toilets – discussion
- Bidet seats
- Storage needs
- Space allowance
- Grab bars

WEEK THREE: Layout Templates in Chief
- Custom cabinets – creating a library
- Lighting
- Schedules/notes
- Saving custom schedules to your template
